Our client was struck by a commercial pick up truck while he was crossing a street in a cross walk. At the time of the collision, the defendant had a red light and was in the process of making a right turn. As a result of the collision, our client sustained complete tears of the proximal ACL and distal MCL and had to undergo ACL and MCL reconstruction surgery and a significant amount of preoperative and postoperative physical therapy treatment. We retained an orthopedic surgeon to provide an opinion on causation, prognosis and permanency. The case settled shortly after a settlement demand package was sent to the insurance company.
